Palm Springs, CA November 17, 2012 City Challenge Urban Race 5K and Half Marathon

Chosen by Coca-Cola as one of the top 10 fun runs in the world!

Our November 17, 2012 City Challenge Urban Race 5K and Half Marathon was in Palm Springs! Host location was Dickie O’Neal’s Pub and Restaurant located at 2155 North Palm Canyon Palm Springs, CA 92262. Owner Michael Farber and his wife Joey and their staff welcomed the runners with open arms, and with the best food and drink in town. Both courses represented the unique history and culture of Palm Springs and included so many obscure locations that even the locals didn’t know many of them existed. In hearing this time and again from people at post race check-in we knew we had done our jobs, and succeeded in creating the most original race courses the city had ever seen. Don’t worry if you missed this one, the response was so overwhelmingly positive we are planning on making Palm Springs an annual event and will be back in 2013!

All participants got a FREE event shirt, Clif Bars, the latest issue of Lava Magazine, Road ID discount cards and other cool stuff!!! Medals were awarded to first, second and third place finishers of the Standard and Ultra Courses in both divisions (team and single), and all first place winners got Road ID bracelets!!!
